What is Dai Novel?

Start with an idea and turn it into a world you can enter. Dai Novel keeps your canon, cast, rules, and story paths together in one place.
It is not a prompt box, an unrestricted roleplay chat, or a fixed branching story. A Dai Novel world is a Codex: connected data describing how the setting works, who lives there, what they want, where events can happen, and how the larger story may progress.
AI writes the next illustrated scene from that world, its memory, and the story direction you set. Other people can enter it too. Nobody else starts with this place, because nobody else built it.
Three layers
1. Unified Codex
Build the durable parts of the world in one place:
- Premise, genre, tone, history, hidden truths, and world rules.
- Characters, factions, regions, locations, creatures, items, abilities, events, myths, facts, and lore.
- Directed relationships with history and status.
- Gameplay stats, gauges, currency, ranks, and power references.
- World map, starting scenes, images, and public presentation.
The Codex is the main world record used by the editor, publishing flow, images, and play system.
2. Phase Graph
A World Phase is a story state, not a chapter script. The graph defines:
- The dramatic job of each stage.
- Active pressures.
- Valid next stages.
- Character-specific branches.
- Endings.
A turn records the current phase or one of its connected next phases. This guides the larger direction, while the individual scene can still vary.
You set the direction; AI writes the moment.
3. Play runtime
Players choose a viewpoint character, write an action or pick a choice, and receive the next illustrated page. The runtime can carry forward:
- World time and current state.
- Selective long-term memory.
- Character knowledge versus public knowledge.
- Map positions.
- Phase progress.
The player declares their character's action, thought, or feeling. If they try to decide another character's action or an outcome, the runtime treats it as an attempt, thought, or wish rather than an established fact.
The world exists before you arrive
Worlds are authored before the first choice. History, rules, inhabitants, loyalties, places, and unresolved pressure already exist when a player steps in.
That is the difference between Dai Novel and a chatbot that invents a setting on the first message. The world in your head is no longer a private daydream. It is a place.
For creators
This is your world: your taste, history, cast, and choices.
Use professional world-building tools without giving authorship away:
- Edit structured fields instead of one giant prompt.
- Connect entities through a relationship graph.
- Place the cast and geography on a world map.
- Direct the arc with a Phase Graph.
- Ask World Helper for inspectable proposals, then review, apply, or revert.
Hobbyists can start with an idea. Experienced creators can keep canon, visual identity, gameplay, and story architecture in one inspectable model.
For players
Play as a character inside someone else's world, or inside your own.
The feeling should be simple: step into the adventure you used to imagine.
- Choose who you enter as.
- Act through that character.
- Watch the next scene respond to world state, memory, and consequence.
- Follow a visible story map while unreached paths stay hidden.
Not because the AI will invent anything on demand, but because the world already has places to go, people who want things, and a story that can remember what you did.
What Dai Novel is building toward
Dai Novel is moving toward more playable viewpoints and more consistent scene art, while generated images can still vary from one turn to the next.
Creator growth is part of that direction. Worlds can already be discovered, played, favorited, and discussed. Creator income is coming soon. Only Public Data builds can currently be cloned by other creators.
